Do you like a mix of super sweet and mildly spicy? Then you must meet our girl, Gabbie! This stunning seven year old silver tabby still looks and plays like a kitten. A curious girl, she likes to explore and jump up on high surfaces and she loves to hang out and sleep on the window ledge. Gabbie is still very playful and loves chasing springs or treats. Catnip toys are always a great time for her! Gabbie goes to bed with her foster mom at night and wakes her up in the morning. She is always kneading the blankets and pillows, getting them just perfect for lounging. Gabbie gives the most amazing head butts! She’s very friendly and affectionate, just on her terms. She prefers that you hold your hand out for her to approach you first, then she’ll show you how sweet she is by granting you permission to touch her soft fluffy fur. She loves chin rubs, head scatches and butt pets! When she rolls over and shows her belly, then belly rubs are fair game! She’ll let you know when she’s had enough or if you’re doing it wrong (she has her standards, after all), and show her spicy side by way of a little nip or light swat. When she’s in the mood, she’ll let you cuddle her – just until she’s reached her cuddle quota and then she’ll wander off. While Gabbie does not like to be picked up, she will be the first to greet you at the door when you get home! Gabbie settled into her foster home very quickly, exploring every space immediately and is not afraid of strangers at all.

Gabbie appears to have been picked on by both kids and cats in her previous home. She seems to be afraid of kids’ voices outside and will run and hide easily when she’s scared. As such, her forever home will have no kids or cats. Her new family will be cat savvy and know how to read her signs that she’s had enough and wants to be left alone.

Are you looking for a lot of sweet? Can you handle a bit of spicy? Gabbie is looking for her new forever home, where she can give love when she wants to but also be left alone when she needs time to herself. Really, she’s no different than a lot of humans, right?
