Gus Completes Me

Gus Completes Me

We adopted ‘Aiden’ on February 24, 2016 from the Oakville Petsmart and have been in love with him every day since! Being a tad chubby, we renamed him GusGus after the chubby mouse in my favourite Disney movie, Cinderella. He is my first pet and I find a year later I sometimes miss him more than my boyfriend! LOL! Gus is sweet, snuggly, and loves his food! He enjoys rolling on the ground in the sunshine, but doesn’t care too much for being outside in the sun! He’s very food motivated, and even learned a few tricks before getting his treats! He’s full of personality – lazy – lovable – and claims all bags and boxes as his own. His purrs and meows warm my heart every day, he makes our house a home! I have my sister to thank for him, a few days earlier she adopted his sister ‘Sarah’ now Ginny! We can’t thank Ninth Life Reacue enough for bringing this sweet face to our home!

We love our Ursula

We adopted Ursula in July 2016, two days after moving into our new house. Ursula made our house a home- it wouldn’t be the same without her!!
Our fur baby is cuddly, attentive, playful and engaging. We love her! 🙂

Benny

Benny

We lost our last cat to kidney disease shortly before our wedding. We adopted Benny (formerly Bunny) not long after our honeymoon. It was a bit of an unplanned decision, but as soon as we met him we knew we wanted to bring him home. The big orange lump with a stump of a tail hanging out in the corner of the adoption centre. He spent the first few nights howling so loud and long and we were very concerned but the Ninth Life volunteers went above and beyond in helping us and he was crying no more. He’s got so much purrsonality and is the biggest snuggle bug. He quickly made himself comfortable and we’re so glad we were able to give him his forever home.

I adopted Stu in November of last year. He turned 1 on Canada Day! He has 3 best brothers that he lives to play with and hang out with. He’s a beautiful soul who tells us his stories in little squeaks! Love him! ❤️❤️

Coffee

Coffee

We adopted Coffee a little under three years ago. We had just lost our first cat (whom we had gotten from a friend) to a blood clot a couple weeks before after having him for only a month.

Coffee was exactly what we needed, she has filled our lives with so much love. She has rescued us as much as we did her. She’s become a guiding light for us and challenged us to be better people so that she no longer has to live a difficult life like she did before.

Bee

Bee

We adopted Bianca (or Bee) from petsmart in Oakville around October 2016, I had just lost my other cat! I absolutely fell in love with her (known as Lady at the time) and I just knew she was a great cat! Margaret kindly helped me with everything and setting me up with the paperwork to bring my lovely lady home! As soon as we brought her home she was the most adventurous cat I have ever seen! She walked into her home as if she’d been there forever! She became friends within the next two days with my other cats! They always sleep together and groom each other the sweetest thing about Bee is her relationship with my dog Stella ! Bee considers Stella her mother, she nursed off her and grooms her and Stella grooms her and loves her so dearly! They are the best of friends ! I couldn’t be happier with the adoption! It was smooth and easy! Thanks you all from ninth life cat rescue !

Mocha Bean

Mocha Bean

Mocha Bean (back then his name was Siam) came to me as a very scared foster-working with him was supposed to be a one-off while I was living elsewhere for a couple months. He spent the first two days hiding in the closet, pretending he was invisible. The more time we spent together, the more he opened up to the love I gave him, and we formed a strong bond. It didn’t take long before I knew that this sweet Siamese boy had stolen my heart.

He moved back home with me, and now he is my most devoted companion. He follows me around the house, demands food and playtime, and sleeps on my bed at night and anytime I’m in the room.

When you rescue a cat, you save a life-and sometimes, in their own way, they save yours, too. <3

Thank you, Ninth Life, for bringing this beautiful, sweet boy into my life!

Every year hundreds of cats travel through Ninth Life Cat Rescue. Their new life starts on the day they are rescued and move into a foster home. In Foster care, they received love, affection, warmth and security. Our foster parents care deeply for the cats entrusted to them. Many cats also spend some time in one of our adoption centres. Here, more volunteers socialize and play with the cats while getting to know their personalities even more to help them find a perfect home match for our kitties. And then you come along! You make the decision to provide a forever home to these fur-babies who have already received so much love. All of the volunteers thank you for loving them as we have, and we would LOVE to see how they are doing in their new home.

Smitty stole our hearts!

Smitty stole our hearts!

Smitty was the reason I got involved as a volunteer with Ninth Life. He was from the one and only litter of kittens and mom that I fostered in my home. When it came time to put the kittens up for adoption, I just couldn’t let him go. Smitty has a bummed back left leg. He was a fighter through all the struggles my kitten litter went through, I just couldn’t let this little one go. He joined my family and met his big brother, my older cat Hamlet, who took him in right away. We love him so much and he fits right in. We love his curious nature, and his kitten sense of wonder. He loves to follow us around and is chatty when he’s not getting enough attention. He LOVES any toy he can find- feather wand, laser pointer, pom pom, socks…
Thank you for letting me adopt Smitty into his forever home! ~Dave and Danielle
