A new member of the family

A new member of the family

My husband and I adopted Nelly (formally known as Bonnie) from Oakville PetSmart about a few months ago. At first our other cat, Kitty, was not too sure about Nelly; however they soon got to know each other.

Now they play together all the time. They both love to snuggle, and I love getting snuggles from them. Nelly is energetic and loves to play, she definitely seems happy and so are we.

Petal

Petal

I adopted Petal, formerly Coral, at the Burlington petsmart on Nov. 11, 2017. It has only been a few months but we have already bonded so much!!!

One thing that can be said about Petal is that she LOVES pets. She sleeps beside me every night and often times I will wake up to her trying to make me pet her – definitely is the best way to wake up.

Petal is a shy cat (particularly around men!) but has come so far from when we first adopted her. She constantly clings to me … I can’t even go to the washroom without her following me!

Adopting Petal has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am so glad I had the opportunity to give her her forever home!

Figuring out the housecat life

Figuring out the housecat life

This furry little girl was so so so scared when we brought her home. It must have been quite a life she had before her wonderful foster Mom Stephanie rescued her But 9 months later, while she is still skittish, she is starting to learn how to be a housecat. After not making a single vocalization for almost a year, she greets me most mornings with a quiet meow these days. She plays with her balls and toy mice. She loves to be pet and brushed and she is enjoys watching TV with the family. Every day she feels a little braver and a little more trusting. She is a sweet little girl and we are so happy to have her as part of our family.
